I am a sustainability leader, bringing 15 years of experience working in international environments in large private and public sector organisations in food & agriculture. I bring in-depth knowledge of agricultural commodities and sustainability topics such as climate change, deforestation, community development, child protection and gender inequality.
Meraki is a Greek word that translates as «soul, creativity and love». These are the core values of my work. Throughout my work, I combine empathy with being pragmatic, and efficiency with diligence.
I strongly believe that empowering communities will be the key to lasting sustainable change. Through my experience in smallholder agricultural value chains, I have seen what is possible when all stakeholders come together to empower communities to thrive. Here I want to add my value.
Sustainability and the international multi-stakeholder environment, have always been part of my educational and professional development. My roots are the Dutch tulip fields where my journey in agriculture started. I studied and worked in Cape Town, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Copenhagen and Zürich. Today I call the Swiss Alps home, where I live with my partner and our two daughters.
