United Nations Development Programme: Green Commodities Programme

Impact and lessons from a decade of transforming agricultural commodities

Publication

The Green Commodities Programme helps to address the sustainability challenges of highly-traded agricultural commodities. It supports governments to take the lead in creating national environments where sustainable commodity sectors can grow. Covering 8 agricultural commodities in 13 countries, the focus is on commodity platforms and action plans, policy reform, stakeholder management and landscape management.

For this Programme I led the creation of the impact report based on the first 10 years of existence. This included leading a communications team of three, in the development and roll-out across all channels, working with all technical advisors and country teams for content development and leading the creative development of the report and all other communication assets.

«Margreet led our GCP communications team and specifically was asked to deliver our ten-year impact report. Margreet brought structure to the project and the report, raised the bar in regards to creative development and ensured all relevant stakeholders were involved. She is solution-oriented and determined to drive things forward. Working with Margreet has been a pleasure and the team really enjoyed her leadership. She focussed on the development of others and ensured people played to their strengths.»
